The last stitch
One corner of the scarf arrives open. In the box you will find a needle and a length of the same wool.
Thread the needle, close the corner with small stitches following the ones already there, and knot the end on the inside. Take your time: there is no wrong way to finish it.
Caring for wool and cashmere
- Air it between wears; wool rarely needs washing.
- Hand wash in cold water with a wool detergent, or dry clean.
- Do not wring it. Press the water out in a towel and dry it flat, away from direct heat.
- No tumble dryer, no bleach.
- Remove any small pills gently with a cashmere comb.
- Store it folded, clean and dry, with cedar or lavender against moths.
